Outlook inbox cleanup without the Sweep risk
Outlook ships decent built-in cleaning tools: Sweep, Clean Up Conversation, Ignore. They are fast — and they are destructive. One over-broad Sweep rule can silently delete a client reply that arrives after you set it up.

Questions
Does InboxPilot work with Outlook.com and Microsoft 365?
Yes. Both connect over standard IMAP using an app password, and custom business hosts work too. Credentials are encrypted at rest and used only for read-only scans until you explicitly approve otherwise.
Is Sweep bad? Should I stop using it?
Sweep is fine for obvious bulk senders you will never care about. The risk is breadth: a sweep rule created months ago keeps deleting new mail from that sender — including occasional real replies. InboxPilot replaces that standing risk with per-message classification and approval.
Will InboxPilot ever delete my email?
No. Deletion is architecturally out of scope for InboxPilot. Cleanup means marking messages as read, only after rule approval, simulation, and per-message re-checks — every action recorded in the audit log.
How is this different from ignoring conversations in Outlook?
